After this, users will have to enter their Aadhaar number and captcha code. After submitting the details, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Once the OTP is verified, the portal shows whether any bank account is linked for DBT services or not.
How to complete the DBT linking process?
To activate DBT linking, users need to open the BASE section on the NPCI portal and select “Aadhaar Seeding/Deseeding”. Applicants will have to enter their Aadhaar number, select “Seeding”, and choose the bank of their choice.
Users can choose from the options of fresh seeding, changing the account within the same bank, or transferring the DBT link to another bank. After entering the account details and OTP verification, the request is submitted.
If the process is successful, “Aadhaar Seeding/Deseeding Status – SUCCESS” appears on the screen, confirming that the DBT link has been activated successfully.
